Bedroom Tour : I Came, I Saw, I Conquered

I’ve gotten the opportunity to fully reveal my bedroom after spending time transforming my space.

My bedroom has this quirky spin to it with an included accent speckled wall but also through this contemporary whimsical vibe there are variations of comfort and neutrality.

Bed & Bedding

“ever since my transformation, you couldn’t pay me to leave my bed”.

My bed is pretty simplistic. I have large comforter sets so I always opt for waffle-knit bedspreads. I purchased this bedding from HM Home. It is a taupe waffle knit bedspread that is super comfortable, quality, and affordable. I secured mine during of their sales for an additional 25% off. My bed also has a faux fur grey throw that I secured from my local Home Goods. My bed is super comfy, I’m hoping you can relate and feel the same way about your bed. Ever since my transformation, you couldn’t pay me to leave my bed. It has become my hub and every day after a long day my immediate destination. Shout out to 99 cent Hulu. We get real chill. Back to this though, for variety and contrast, I included some velvet pillows from Stein Mart and HM Home. My bed itself is from Rooms To Go. I purchased this bed by itself when I first relocated to the Jax area. I appreciate the industrial look and I’ve allowed my bed to act as additional reference for other accents in my space.

Textiles, Furniture, & Accents

"there’s no such thing as playing it safe when it comes to texture and style”.

I think including texture and variation in your space is important to develop character and personality. I have subtle references to textures via my drapes, accents, and furniture. In my opinion, there’s no such thing as playin it safe when it comes to texture and style.

Starting with my furniture, there isn’t much but I’ve secured these phenomenal nightstands from Ross Dress For Less. I couldn’t refuse these pieces in my space. I saw similar ones on World Market and I considered purchasing but I actually saved quite a bit and added more character by going for the Ross pieces. The end tables are deep brown and have some character graining on them. In the front of them there is a chevron mirror panel on each door which is open and closed via gold handles. Perfect right? On top of these tables, I have acrylic and gold lamps from Ross, a genuine marble rounded mirror from Target which I sometimes place my perfumes on, I also have some vases and trays for candles and whatever else I want to place upon the dressers. For furniture, I also have this wooden accent table underneath my television which I secured from my local Ross. On this table, you’ll typically find the remotes for the room and an AppleTV square.

On the walls in the bedroom are many items, the first and focal point is the speckled wall decals from Urban Walls. Also on this wall you will find a centered art piece from Society6 in a frame from Walmart. When I first saw this image, I absolutely knew it was a must. The fierceness of the image captivated me immediately. On the outside of the photos are two wall sconces from Ikea. These wall scones match perfectly with my wooden and industrial wired mirror from Kirklands. As you can see, staying within the common theme of the room. Below the picture is a bench from Ikea which maintains my shoes and also additional textiles in the form of a wired basket where I have some floral and some faux fur pillows from my local Home Goods. In the corner tucked away is a gold trimmed and textured standing mirror from Kirklands. Adjacent to this wall is where the television is mounted with a rental friendly wall bracket from Amazon. The cord protectors are also from Amazon. There is also two pieces of wooden and wire hexagonal shelves which hold everything pretty as I see it. I secured these from my local Ross. Lastly my eggplant colored velvet curtains and the gold rod are both from Amazon. The gold curtain rings I purchased from Target and I love the extra length they provide to the curtains.
